Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Motors, Trading and Investment Trust sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share declined 0.05% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC House PLC (CM:PCHO), which rose 50.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.300 at the close. Meanwhile, Huejay International Investments PLC (CM:HUEJ) added 19.76% or 9.90 points to end at 60.00 and Finance Company PLC (CM:TFC) was up 12.78% or 1.70 points to 15.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kalamazoo Systems PLC (CM:KZOO), which fell 18.45% or 560.70 points to trade at 2479.00 at the close. Autodrome PLC (CM:AUTO) declined 14.61% or 173.00 points to end at 1011.00 and PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH) was down 14.29% or 0.10 points to 0.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 112 to 110 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH) fell to all time lows; falling 14.29% or 0.10 to 0.60.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.11% or 0.53 to $47.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.49% or 0.75 to hit $49.71 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.91% or 10.80 to trade at $1172.30 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.24% to 216.615, while USD/LKR fell 0.12% to 140.350.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 94.93.
