Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Construction & Engineering and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share added 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC House PLC (CM:PCHO), which rose 50.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.300 at the close. Meanwhile, Hapugastenne Plantations PLC (CM:HAPU) added 21.85% or 5.20 points to end at 29.00 and EB Creasy and Company PLC (CM:EBCR) was up 16.91% or 169.20 points to 1170.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Industrial Asphalts (Ceylon) PLC (CM:ASPH), which fell 13.31% or 59.90 points to trade at 390.00 at the close. Shalimar Estates (CM:SHAL) declined 12.14% or 276.10 points to end at 1998.90 and Central Investments and Finance PLC (CM:CIFL) was down 11.11% or 0.100 points to 0.900.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in PC House PLC (CM:PCHO) rose to 52-week highs; rising 50.00% or 0.100 to 0.300.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.23% or 0.54 to $43.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.50% or 0.24 to hit $47.30 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.07% or 0.80 to trade at $1165.40 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.24% to 215.970, while USD/LKR fell 0.31% to 140.675.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 96.89.
