Investing.com – Sri Lanka equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Services, Stores & Supplies and Construction & Engineering sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share added 0.47% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Kotmale Holdings PLC (CM:LAMB), which rose 23.58% or 39.30 points to trade at 206.00 at the close. SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB) added 16.67% or 0.1000 points to end at 0.7000 and Radiant Gems International PLC (CM:RGEM) was up 15.88% or 3.70 points to 27.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ceylon Leather Products PLC (CM:CLPL), which lost 9.71% or 6.30 points to trade at 58.60 in late trade. Ceylon Printers PLC (CM:CPRT) declined 6.84% or 4.40 points to end at 59.90 and Asia Asset Finance Ltd (CM:ASAS) shed 6.67% or 0.100 points to 1.400.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 122 to 68 and 67 ended unchanged on the Colombo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.06% or 0.03 to $50.74 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.11% or 0.06 to hit $53.05 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1284.00 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.31% to 194.525, while USD/LKR rose 0.03% to 152.140.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 99.83.
