Investing.com – Sri Lanka equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Information Technology, Land & Property and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share rose 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC House PLC (CM:PCHO), which rose 100.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.200 at the close. SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB) added 12.50% or 0.1000 points to end at 0.9000 and Dunamis Capital PLC (CM:CSEC) was up 9.35% or 2.30 points to 26.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Indo Malay PLC (CM:INDO), which lost 22.50% or 321.60 points to trade at 1108.00 in late trade. Ceylon Leather Products PLC (CM:CLPL) declined 13.11% or 9.10 points to end at 60.30 and Good Hope PLC (CM:GOOD) shed 12.90% or 199.90 points to 1350.10.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 104 to 74 and 63 ended unchanged on the Colombo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.14% or 0.95 to $43.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 2.11% or 0.99 to hit $45.92 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.06% or 0.80 to trade at $1247.50 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.09% to 195.915, while USD/LKR rose 0.59% to 153.900.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 97.29.
