Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Non-Metal Minerals and Food & Beverages sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.90%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which rose 7.50% or 0.150 points to trade at 2.150 at the close. Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) added 3.95% or 0.030 points to end at 0.790 and Intergroup (LM:IFS) was up 2.48% or 0.800 points to 33.000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which lost 5.49% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.09 in late trade. Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) declined 1.37% or 0.002 points to end at 0.144 and Sider (LM:SID) shed 0.85% or 0.003 points to 0.350.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 11 and 10 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.28% or 0.99 to $42.52 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $44.77 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.36% or 4.49 to trade at $1247.99 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2720, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.6449.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 97.22.
