Jonathan Battershill has started his tenure as managing director of Silver Mines Ltd (ASX:SVL, OTC:SLVMF).
After a thorough succession process, the non-executive director moved into the MD position on January 1.
“I am delighted to have commenced as the managing director of Silver Mines," Battershill said.
"Having served as a non-executive director of the company, I already have a deep understanding of the company, its operations, corporate functions and the Bowdens Silver Project.
"I look forward to continuing the growth of the company and working with our outstanding team through this important stage of the Bowdens Silver mine development,”
Battershill is expected to help transition the company into its mine development and production phase and into a mid-tier mining company.

This expansive area hosts a variety of target styles and mineral occurrences, promising a rich potential for discovery.
The district is known for various geological formations, including analogues to Bowdens Silver, high-grade silver-lead-zinc epithermal and volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) systems, alongside promising copper-gold targets.
