Shree Minerals Ltd (ASX:SHH) has finalised air core drilling plans to test identified lithium pegmatite potential and gold anomalies at the southern portion of tenement E63/2046, situated within the Dundas Project, in the Albany Fraser Orogen of Western Australia.
Notably, the company's drill program consists of 98 holes across 5,000 to 6,000 metres at the project.
Moving forward, with the drilling contractor and program of works finalised, aircore drilling is expected to kick off this month.
What’s more, Shree has received the heritage survey clearance report, and the surveys are tentatively scheduled by the Ngadju Native Aboriginal Title Corporation (NNTC) next week.
World-class lithium pegmatite deposits
The Dundas Project’s exploration licences E63/2046 and E63/2048 in the Albany Fraser Orogen are interpreted to occur along strike of the well-endowed Boulder Lefroy Fault Zone and the Zuleika Shear.
World class lithium in pegmatite deposits is spatially related to these mineralised structures to the north of Shree’s tenure.
Pegmatites have been recorded from historical drill logs proximal to these structures within E63/2046.
Mapping identified historical drill hole spoils containing pegmatite chips.
Historical drilling intersections of up to 3 g/t gold remain open and the associated soil geochemistry suggests the mineralisation is much more extensive than indicated by drilling.
To progress exploration plans, an in-fill of the historical one-kilometre spaced soil sample traverses in E63/2048 is planned, with a powered auger to define and prioritise targets for RAB and RC drilling.
