Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Insurance, Multi Investment and Retail sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were ACE ARABIA COOPERATIVE INSURANCE (SE:8240), which rose 9.89% or 5.13 points to trade at 57.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi United Cooperative Insurance (SE:8060) added 4.65% or 0.50 points to end at 11.25 and Saudi Cable Company (SE:2110) was up 4.20% or 0.30 points to 7.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Knowledge Economic City (SE:4310), which fell 6.68% or 1.17 points to trade at 16.35 at the close. Tihama Advertising&Public Relations (SE:4070) declined 6.22% or 2.40 points to end at 36.20 and Emaar The Economic City (SE:4220) was down 2.55% or 0.27 points to 10.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 98 to 68.
Shares in Tihama Advertising&Public Relations (SE:4070) fell to 3-years lows; down 6.22% or 2.40 to 36.20.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.24% or 0.11 to $46.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.23% or 0.12 to hit $50.38 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.00% or 11.30 to trade at $1122.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.89% to 4.1742, while USD/SAR rose 0.03% to 3.7514.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.57% at 96.43.
