Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Sunday, as gains in the Energy & Utilities, Building & Construction and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 1.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE:8070), which rose 9.86% or 3.50 points to trade at 39.00 at the close. Tihama Advertising&Public Relations (SE:4070) added 9.73% or 2.50 points to end at 28.20 and Saudi Arabian Cooperative Insurance (SE:8100) was up 9.20% or 1.60 points to 19.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saudia Dairy and Foodstuff .Co (SE:2270), which lost 1.78% or 2.25 points to trade at 124.25 in late trade. Herfy Food Services Co (SE:6002) declined 0.93% or 0.75 points to end at 79.75 and Alawwal Bank (SE:1040) shed 0.38% or 0.05 points to 12.95.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 157 to 5 and 8 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.53% or 0.28 to $53.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $55.90 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.34% or 3.80 to trade at $1134.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.17% to 3.9224, while USD/SAR rose 0.04% to 3.7527.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.12% at 102.95.
