Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Hotels & Tourism, Transport and Energy & Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.48%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Cable Company (SE:2110), which rose 5.80% or 0.40 points to trade at 7.30 at the close. ACE ARABIA COOPERATIVE INSURANCE (SE:8240) added 5.45% or 2.10 points to end at 40.60 and Al-Ahlia Insurance Company (SE:8140) was up 4.79% or 0.40 points to 8.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saudia Dairy and Foodstuff .Co (SE:2270), which lost 3.05% or 4.75 points to trade at 151.00 in late trade. Filing & Packing Materials Co. (SE:2180) declined 1.98% or 0.80 points to end at 39.70 and National Metal Manufacturing Co. (SE:2220) shed 1.87% or 0.50 points to 26.20.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 80 to 54 and 34 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.06% or 1.01 to $48.00 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.71% or 0.85 to hit $48.87 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1214.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.10% to 4.1936, while USD/SAR fell 0.03% to 3.7506.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.04% at 95.38.
