Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Real Estate Development, Insurance and Petrochemicals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE:8070), which rose 9.64% or 1.90 points to trade at 21.60 at the close. Solidarity Saudi Takaful Co (SE:8290) added 8.46% or 0.55 points to end at 7.05 and Al Sagr Co-operative Insurance Co (SE:8180) was up 5.79% or 1.80 points to 32.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included National Agriculture Development Co (SE:6010), which lost 6.19% or 1.30 points to trade at 19.70 in late trade. Umm Al-Qura (SE:3005) declined 4.04% or 0.60 points to end at 14.25 and Alkhaleej Training & Education Co (SE:4290) shed 3.86% or 0.55 points to 13.70.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 109 to 47 and 13 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.18% or 0.09 to $50.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.17% or 0.09 to hit $51.90 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.41% or 5.20 to trade at $1259.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.21% to 4.1374, while USD/SAR rose 0.02% to 3.7515.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.26% at 97.74.
