Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Retail, Transport and Telecoms & IT sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.12% to hit a new 3-year high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Company for Hardware (SE:4008), which rose 4.13% or 3.20 points to trade at 80.70 at the close. National Petrochemical Company (SE:2002) added 3.29% or 0.90 points to end at 28.25 and Jarir Marketing Co (SE:4190) was up 3.19% or 5.40 points to 174.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Al-Jouf Agriculture Development Co (SE:6070), which lost 4.95% or 1.22 points to trade at 23.44 in late trade. Allianz Saudi Fransi Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8040) declined 2.41% or 0.75 points to end at 30.35 and AL-BABTAIN POWER &TELECOM CO (SE:2320) shed 2.39% or 0.56 points to 22.86.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 101 to 75 and 14 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.94% or 0.61 to $64.00 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.72% or 0.52 to hit $71.21 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.14% or 14.95 to trade at $1298.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.14% to 4.2219, while USD/SAR rose 0.00% to 3.7504.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 96.748.
