Diamond and reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Western Queen Project of Rumble Resources Ltd (ASX:RTR, OTC:RTRFF) in the Yalgoo mineral field of Western Australia, has intersected a potential new parallel high-grade gold system.
Initial results from the drilling program that commenced in May confirm the continuation of multiple high-grade gold zones beneath the project’s Western Queen South deposit and along strike of the Western Queen Central deposit.

Scope to extend to depth
Previous drilling has demonstrated high-grade gold occurs as a south plunging lode system with the scope to extend to significant depths which may be amenable to underground mining.
Previous exploration by Rumble highlighted strong continuity down-plunge from the Western Queen Central and Western Queen South deposits. The interpreted high-grade gold system has developed as a series of moderate to shallow south plunging lodes.
As can be seen below, the zone between the Western Queen Central and Western Queen South deposits is also poorly tested and the potential high-grade down-plunge positions remain completely untested.

Additionally, multiple sets of south plunging zones with the Duke and Baron prospects are open at surface and unmined.
Continuation confirmed
Rumble managing director and CEO Peter Harold said: “We are pleased with the initial results from the drilling at Western Queen which has confirmed the continuation of the gold mineralisation at Western Queen South.
“The discovery of a potentially new mineralised lode at Western Queen South is good news and highlights the prospectivity of the Western Queen Project.
"We look forward to receiving the results from the current hole and from future drilling programs as we look to grow the resource base at Western Queen.
Western Queen Gold Project location.
The historical Western Queen mines and project area (2.7-kilometre strike length) is within a 100-kilometre radius of three gold processing mills.
“The proximity of the project to three gold processing mills – Checkers, Tuckabianna and Dalgaranga – gives Western Queen a strong advantage over projects which would require a new processing plant to be built to extract the gold,” said Harold.
Western Queen has historical production of 880,000 tonnes at 7.6 g/t gold for 215,000 ounces and remains completely open down plunge and along strike. It has a mineral resource estimate (MRE) of 2.1 million tonnes grading 2.42 g/t gold for 163,200 ounces.
What’s next?
Rumble will continue the diamond core drilling program at Western Queen to delineate and extend the high-grade gold mineralisation below the Western Queen South deposit.
Other potential high-grade shoots will also be tested along the 2.7-kilometre mineralised zone, focusing initially on the area between Western Queen South and the Western Queen Central area. The company will also review and update the 2021 mineral resource estimate.
