Rumble Resources Ltd (ASX:RTR, OTC:RTRFF) has identified a highly prospective area of zinc-lead sulphides at Mato prospect in the Earaheedy Project in Western Australia, with drilling results revealing a 3-kilometre by 3-kilometre zone of highly promising mineralisation.
The zone is up-dip to the southwest and along strike of the original Mato prospect mineralisation.
Rumble believes the new zone at Mato has the “hallmarks of a large mineralising sulphide system” which the company believes could add materially to the resource estimate at Earaheedy.
Specifically, the company points out that the zone demonstrates continuous high-grade zinc-lead sulphide mineralisation over a 1,600-metre cross strike and 350 metres along strike, open in all directions, with multiple feeder structures and near identical geology to the Chinook-Tonka-Navajoh zinc-lead deposits.
High-grade results
The best assay results from this latest round of drilling include:
- 12 metres at 6.07% zinc + lead from 146 metres, including 8 metres at 8.71% from 148 metres;
- 19 metres at 4.23% zinc + lead from 119 metres, including 12 metres at 5.28% from 119 metres;
- 13 metres at 3.31 zinc + lead from 145 metres, including 6 metres at 6.95% from 145 metres;
- 12 metres at 3.04% zinc + lead from 122 metres, including 7 metres at 4.40% from 124 metres; and
- 8 metres at 2.91% zinc + lead from 158 metres, including 3 metres at 6.65% from 158 metres.
Rumble has already secured heritage clearance for the new Mato zone, allowing for extensional and follow-up drilling in the near future.
At present the company is focused on advancing its geological interpretation of the area to get full value from its 2024 drilling campaigns, which will be focused on exploring the Mato prospect system.
