Royal Helium Ltd (TSX-V:RHC, OTCQB:RHCCF) has appointed industry expert Brent Ziegler to its Advisory Board as helium technical lead as the company expands its focus from helium exploration to include production and sales.
The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan-based company said Ziegler is currently the principal consultant of helium, hydrogen, machinery, and storage at progress through Technology LLC.
He has previously worked for over 19 years at Allentown, Pennsylvania-based Air Products and Chemicals (NYSE:APD) in various positions, including as the global helium operations technical manager.
"We are pleased to have Brent Ziegler join the Royal team as we expand our focus from helium exploration to now include production and sales,” said Royal Helium CEO Andrew Davidson.
“With Brent's unique expertise in processing technologies and engineering for helium, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and argon we are well positioned in the helium industry to expedite growth through continued exploration, production, refining and sales."
Royal Helium also announced the grant of 250,000 stock options following the company's stock option plan to certain consultants and advisors. The options are exercisable at $0.38 per share and, if not exercised, expire on May 3, 2028, subject to earlier expiration in line with the stock option plan.
Royal controls over 1,000,000 acres of prospective helium land across southern Saskatchewan and southeastern Alberta. With stable, rising prices and limited, non-renewable sources for helium, the company plans to become a top North American producer of the high value commodity.
