March 22 (Reuters) - Rio Tinto (LON:RIO) RIO.AX agreed on Thursday to sell its 75 percent stake in the Winchester South coal project in the northeastern state of Queensland to Australia's Whitehaven Coal WHC.AX for $200 million.
The transaction is expected to settle in the second quarter of 2018, the global miner said in a statement.
