Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Construction and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.75%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were LPP SA (WA:LPPP), which rose 6.39% or 380.00 points to trade at 6330.00 at the close. CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR) added 3.05% or 2.17 points to end at 73.27 and Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) was up 1.89% or 0.060 points to 3.240 in late trade.
Biggest losers included KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH), which lost 3.89% or 4.85 points to trade at 119.78 in late trade. Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) declined 3.20% or 2.29 points to end at 69.21 and Bank Millennium SA (WA:MILP) shed 3.13% or 0.22 points to 6.80.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 373 to 235 and 153 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.26% or 0.14 to $53.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.11% or 0.06 to hit $56.07 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.56% or 6.85 to trade at $1218.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.08% to 4.3038, while USD/PLN fell 0.08% to 4.0669.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 101.69.
