Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Information Technology, Oil & Gas and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 1.79%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER), which rose 1.16% or 0.60 points to trade at 52.20 at the close. Energa SA (WA:ENGP) added 0.98% or 0.08 points to end at 8.27 and PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE) was up 0.70% or 0.07 points to 10.06 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR), which lost 10.53% or 19.20 points to trade at 163.10 in late trade. CCC SA (WA:CCCP) declined 4.78% or 11.00 points to end at 219.00 and Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) shed 4.33% or 2.04 points to 45.06.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 266 to 174 and 166 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.77% or 0.57 to $73.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.01% or 0.85 to hit $83.31 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.27% or 15.30 to trade at $1190.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.26% to 4.3165, while USD/PLN rose 0.66% to 3.7625.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 95.56.
