Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Chemicals, Telecoms and Energy sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 1.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW), which rose 3.27% or 3.05 points to trade at 96.30 at the close. PKP Cargo (WA:PKPP) added 1.42% or 0.75 points to end at 53.55 and Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP) was up 0.97% or 0.64 points to 66.57 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Eurocash SA (WA:EUR), which lost 13.72% or 4.73 points to trade at 29.75 in late trade. Energa SA (WA:ENGP) declined 4.79% or 0.59 points to end at 11.72 and Enea SA (WA:ENAE) shed 4.58% or 0.60 points to 12.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 310 to 193 and 175 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.96% or 0.55 to $56.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.74% or 0.47 to hit $63.46 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.86% or 11.04 to trade at $1276.46 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.13% to 4.2260, while USD/PLN fell 0.25% to 3.6254.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 94.32.
