Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Energy, Information Technology and Media sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.83%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP), which rose 1.58% or 1.20 points to trade at 77.20 at the close. CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR) added 1.41% or 1.75 points to end at 126.25 and CCC SA (WA:CCCP) was up 0.82% or 2.15 points to 265.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE), which lost 4.88% or 0.64 points to trade at 12.48 in late trade. Enea SA (WA:ENAE) declined 4.03% or 0.55 points to end at 13.09 and Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) shed 3.27% or 0.110 points to 3.250.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 320 to 183 and 163 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.17% or 0.10 to $57.30 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.47% or 0.30 to hit $63.99 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.82% or 10.42 to trade at $1286.22 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.21% to 4.2346, while USD/PLN fell 0.25% to 3.6533.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 94.78.
