Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Banking and Information Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 0.77%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Kruk SA (WA:KRU), which rose 4.98% or 13.90 points to trade at 292.90 at the close. Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) added 2.13% or 2.09 points to end at 99.99 and ING Bank Śląski SA (WA:INGP) was up 1.01% or 2.00 points to 200.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Eurocash SA (WA:EUR), which lost 3.97% or 1.46 points to trade at 35.35 in late trade. Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) declined 3.08% or 0.78 points to end at 24.58 and Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) shed 2.84% or 0.100 points to 3.420.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 285 to 217 and 173 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.17% or 0.09 to $54.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.12% or 0.07 to hit $60.56 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1277.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.02% to 4.2337, while USD/PLN fell 0.33% to 3.6308.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 94.61.
