Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Media sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 0.76% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which rose 4.79% or 12.45 points to trade at 272.45 at the close. Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) added 4.44% or 1.20 points to end at 28.25 and Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR) was up 2.16% or 1.60 points to 75.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN), which lost 7.40% or 8.25 points to trade at 103.28 in late trade. Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP) declined 6.96% or 4.20 points to end at 56.15 and CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR) shed 4.79% or 4.50 points to 89.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 264 to 250 and 176 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.03% or 0.59 to $57.95 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 2.08% or 1.32 to hit $64.72 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.06% or 0.70 to trade at $1247.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.21% to 4.2072, while USD/PLN fell 0.01% to 3.5657.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 93.77.
