Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Information Technology, Construction and Developers sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.65%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were PKP Cargo (WA:PKPP), which rose 3.45% or 1.90 points to trade at 56.99 at the close. Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) added 3.06% or 2.03 points to end at 68.33 and Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP) was up 2.18% or 1.20 points to 56.28 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP), which lost 5.48% or 0.54 points to trade at 9.31 in late trade. mBank (WA:MBK) declined 3.86% or 18.85 points to end at 468.95 and Energa SA (WA:ENGP) shed 3.04% or 0.38 points to 12.12.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 251 to 239 and 196 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.37% or 0.21 to $57.25 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.17% or 0.11 to hit $63.20 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.06% or 0.80 to trade at $1257.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.31% to 4.2109, while USD/PLN fell 0.29% to 3.5758.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 93.84.
