Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Energy, Basic Materials and Chemicals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER), which rose 2.66% or 1.40 points to trade at 54.10 at the close. Bank Millennium SA (WA:MILP) added 2.59% or 0.22 points to end at 8.72 and LPP SA (WA:LPPP) was up 2.49% or 240.00 points to 9890.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR), which lost 4.14% or 6.00 points to trade at 139.00 in late trade. Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) declined 3.69% or 0.090 points to end at 2.350 and PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE) shed 3.46% or 0.37 points to 10.32.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 261 to 210 and 169 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.38% or 0.27 to $70.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.12% or 0.86 to hit $77.98 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 1.10 to trade at $1319.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.03% to 4.2666, while USD/PLN fell 0.32% to 3.5629.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 92.24.
