Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Food, Energy and Media sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP), which rose 3.83% or 2.30 points to trade at 62.30 at the close. CCC SA (WA:CCCP) added 3.15% or 9.10 points to end at 298.00 and Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP) was up 2.18% or 0.20 points to 9.38 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER), which lost 4.35% or 2.48 points to trade at 54.50 in late trade. Bank Millennium SA (WA:MILP) declined 3.95% or 0.28 points to end at 6.81 and Enea SA (WA:ENAE) shed 3.62% or 0.53 points to 14.11.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 305 to 209 and 172 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.24% or 0.12 to $50.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.50% or 0.28 to hit $55.84 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.39% or 4.98 to trade at $1276.78 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.14% to 4.3159, while USD/PLN fell 0.07% to 3.6706.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 93.35.
