Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemicals, Developers and Construction sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Synthos SA (WA:SNS), which rose 4.52% or 0.250 points to trade at 5.780 at the close. Kruk SA (WA:KRU) added 3.13% or 7.95 points to end at 261.95 and Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) was up 1.43% or 1.06 points to 74.95 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Energa SA (WA:ENGP), which lost 3.02% or 0.32 points to trade at 10.28 in late trade. Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER) declined 3.01% or 2.20 points to end at 70.80 and Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) shed 2.11% or 0.070 points to 3.240.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 281 to 252 and 168 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.06% or 0.54 to $51.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.92% or 0.50 to hit $54.86 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 5.05 to trade at $1253.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.05% to 4.2364, while USD/PLN rose 0.16% to 3.9772.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 100.56.
