Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Energy, Construction and Chemicals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 0.40% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which rose 3.36% or 8.80 points to trade at 271.00 at the close. Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) added 3.09% or 1.40 points to end at 46.70 and Energa SA (WA:ENGP) was up 3.01% or 0.41 points to 14.05 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bank Millennium SA (WA:MILP), which lost 2.95% or 0.22 points to trade at 7.23 in late trade. mBank (WA:MBK) declined 1.79% or 7.85 points to end at 430.15 and Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) shed 1.49% or 0.40 points to 26.40.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 282 to 217 and 166 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.42% or 0.20 to $47.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.49% or 0.26 to hit $52.60 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 7.20 to trade at $1329.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.11% to 4.2521, while USD/PLN rose 0.37% to 3.5796.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 92.68.
