Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Construction and Energy sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 0.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were mBank (WA:MBK), which rose 4.12% or 17.60 points to trade at 445.20 at the close. Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) added 3.93% or 0.070 points to end at 1.850 and Enea SA (WA:ENAE) was up 2.91% or 0.23 points to 8.13 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which lost 4.81% or 11.40 points to trade at 225.40 in late trade. Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP) declined 2.78% or 2.08 points to end at 72.82 and Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) shed 1.94% or 0.44 points to 22.26.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 242 to 213 and 182 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.06% or 0.04 to $72.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.84% or 0.68 to hit $81.21 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.50 to trade at $1205.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.18% to 4.2880, while USD/PLN fell 0.38% to 3.6429.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 93.70.
