Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Food and Information Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN), which rose 1.87% or 1.72 points to trade at 93.69 at the close. Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER) added 1.77% or 0.90 points to end at 51.80 and Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) was up 1.38% or 0.58 points to 42.48 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ING Bank Śląski SA (WA:INGP), which lost 1.74% or 3.20 points to trade at 181.00 in late trade. Enea SA (WA:ENAE) declined 1.49% or 0.14 points to end at 9.23 and Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR) shed 1.05% or 0.75 points to 70.75.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 210 to 201 and 205 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.55% or 0.38 to $68.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.20% or 0.15 to hit $73.30 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 2.00 to trade at $1222.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.31% to 4.2613, while USD/PLN fell 0.17% to 3.6831.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 95.01.
