Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Media, Chemicals and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 0.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR), which rose 4.24% or 2.67 points to trade at 65.70 at the close. CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR) added 3.30% or 3.50 points to end at 109.50 and Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) was up 2.87% or 1.93 points to 69.11 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER), which lost 1.82% or 1.08 points to trade at 58.12 in late trade. PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE) declined 1.11% or 0.15 points to end at 13.39 and Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) shed 1.03% or 0.040 points to 3.850.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 256 to 225 and 170 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.58% or 0.29 to $50.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.70% or 0.39 to hit $55.09 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.13% or 1.66 to trade at $1312.46 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.30% to 4.2800, while USD/PLN fell 0.55% to 3.5712.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 91.64.
