Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemicals, Information Technology and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were PKP Cargo (WA:PKPP), which rose 4.21% or 1.70 points to trade at 42.10 at the close. Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) added 3.53% or 0.88 points to end at 25.78 and Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) was up 3.00% or 1.28 points to 43.88 in late trade.
Biggest losers included PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE), which lost 3.38% or 0.32 points to trade at 9.15 in late trade. Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER) declined 3.11% or 1.70 points to end at 53.00 and Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP) shed 2.94% or 0.25 points to 8.24.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 247 to 197 and 190 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 4.16% or 2.94 to $67.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 3.35% or 2.64 to hit $76.15 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.05% or 0.70 to trade at $1303.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.07% to 4.3070, while USD/PLN rose 0.38% to 3.6915.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 94.08.
