Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Information Technology, Oil & Gas and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP), which rose 2.81% or 1.22 points to trade at 44.62 at the close. mBank (WA:MBK) added 1.05% or 5.00 points to end at 479.80 and Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN) was up 0.74% or 0.70 points to 94.86 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Enea SA (WA:ENAE), which lost 3.52% or 0.38 points to trade at 10.42 in late trade. Kruk SA (WA:KRU) declined 2.41% or 5.20 points to end at 210.20 and Energa SA (WA:ENGP) shed 2.20% or 0.27 points to 12.03.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 230 to 214 and 207 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.19% or 0.73 to $62.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $65.69 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.54% or 20.90 to trade at $1335.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.34% to 4.1485, while USD/PLN rose 0.80% to 3.3588.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.48% at 89.51.
