Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Property, Holding Firms and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite lost 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC), which rose 5.86% or 6.2000 points to trade at 112.0000 at the close. DMCI Holdings Inc (PS:DMC) added 3.93% or 0.480 points to end at 12.700 and Aboitiz Power Corp (PS:AP) was up 1.20% or 0.55 points to 46.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SM Prime Holdings Inc (PS:SMPH), which lost 2.22% or 0.650 points to trade at 28.650 in late trade. San Miguel Corp (PS:SMC) declined 2.04% or 1.750 points to end at 84.000 and LT Group Inc (PS:LTG) shed 1.81% or 0.320 points to 17.380.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 104 to 91 and 44 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.36% or 4.95 to $1352.25 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.41% or 0.20 to hit $48.02 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.86% or 0.44 to trade at $50.45 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.02% to 6.9800, while USD/PHP rose 0.35% to 46.439.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.43% at 94.51.
