Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Mining & Oil, Services and Holding Firms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite fell 0.83%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were LT Group Inc (PS:LTG), which rose 2.53% or 0.480 points to trade at 19.480 at the close. Metropolitan Bank and Trust Co (PS:MBT) added 2.08% or 1.95 points to end at 95.85 and Universal Robina Corp (PS:URC) was up 1.41% or 1.90 points to 136.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC), which lost 6.97% or 2.65 points to trade at 35.35 in late trade. DMCI Holdings Inc (PS:DMC) declined 4.50% or 0.680 points to end at 14.420 and PLDT Inc (PS:TEL) shed 4.46% or 70.00 points to 1500.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 114 to 75 and 53 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.11% or 1.38 to $1293.02 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.77% or 0.45 to hit $57.66 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.30% or 0.19 to trade at $63.19 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.07% to 7.6284, while USD/PHP fell 0.45% to 50.305.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 92.82.
