Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Holding Firms and Property sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite declined 0.82%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC), which rose 4.65% or 1.90 points to trade at 42.80 at the close. First Gen Corp (PS:FGEN) added 2.21% or 0.38 points to end at 17.60 and PLDT Inc (PS:TEL) was up 2.05% or 35.00 points to 1740.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Security Bank Corp (PS:SECB), which lost 4.23% or 11.00 points to trade at 249.00 in late trade. Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) declined 3.71% or 0.950 points to end at 24.650 and BDO Unibank Inc (PS:BDO) shed 3.48% or 4.90 points to 136.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 113 to 80 and 50 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.09% or 1.09 to $1279.81 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.19% or 0.10 to hit $51.80 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.28% or 0.16 to trade at $57.21 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.39% to 7.7891, while USD/PHP rose 0.29% to 51.669.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 93.70.
