Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Banking & Financials and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite fell 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC), which rose 4.11% or 1.50 points to trade at 38.00 at the close. Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) added 4.05% or 0.850 points to end at 21.850 and SM Prime Holdings Inc (PS:SMPH) was up 2.22% or 0.800 points to 36.800 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Universal Robina Corp (PS:URC), which lost 2.81% or 3.90 points to trade at 135.00 in late trade. Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG) declined 1.79% or 0.100 points to end at 5.500 and Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) shed 1.70% or 4.40 points to 254.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 102 to 96 and 46 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.37% or 4.72 to $1292.02 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.97% or 0.57 to hit $58.38 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.05% or 0.03 to trade at $63.50 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.54% to 7.6415, while USD/PHP fell 0.56% to 50.427.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 92.55.
