Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Holding Firms, Industrials and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 0.66%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were LT Group Inc (PS:LTG), which rose 3.61% or 0.540 points to trade at 15.500 at the close. Philex Mining Corp (PS:PX) added 3.52% or 0.250 points to end at 7.350 and Bloomberry Resorts Corp (PS:BLOOM) was up 2.82% or 0.120 points to 4.370 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Globe Telecom Inc (PS:GLO), which lost 2.08% or 50.000 points to trade at 2350.000 in late trade. Ayala Land Inc (PS:ALI) declined 1.08% or 0.400 points to end at 36.500 and Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) shed 0.93% or 1.2000 points to 128.5000.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 100 to 69 and 49 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for August delivery was up 0.09% or 1.15 to $1213.75 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.14% or 0.07 to hit $49.24 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.24% or 0.12 to trade at $50.16 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.16% to 7.0550, while USD/PHP fell 0.15% to 46.460.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.04% at 95.52.
