Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Mining & Oil, Holding Firms and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite gained 0.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC), which rose 6.36% or 7.3000 points to trade at 122.0000 at the close. Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc (PS:AEV) added 3.19% or 2.400 points to end at 77.600 and International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT) was up 2.50% or 1.950 points to 79.950 in late trade.
Biggest losers included LT Group Inc (PS:LTG), which lost 3.27% or 0.500 points to trade at 14.800 in late trade. Philex Mining Corp (PS:PX) declined 1.15% or 0.100 points to end at 8.600 and First Gen Corp (PS:FGEN) shed 1.00% or 0.25 points to 24.65.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 90 to 85 and 66 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.13% or 1.75 to $1310.95 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.92% or 0.45 to hit $48.36 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.92% or 0.47 to trade at $50.42 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.10% to 7.2337, while USD/PHP rose 0.10% to 48.258.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.40% at 96.03.
