Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Holding Firms and Property sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite gained 0.34%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT), which rose 3.87% or 3.150 points to trade at 84.650 at the close. Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc (PS:AEV) added 2.45% or 1.780 points to end at 74.450 and Aboitiz Power Corp (PS:AP) was up 2.04% or 0.86 points to 43.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC), which lost 2.19% or 3.20 points to trade at 143.20 in late trade. DMCI Holdings Inc (PS:DMC) declined 1.79% or 0.220 points to end at 12.040 and San Miguel Corp (PS:SMC) shed 1.05% or 1.10 points to 103.20.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 106 to 72 and 47 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 2.02% or 24.30 to $1225.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.33% or 0.65 to hit $49.51 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 1.39% or 0.72 to trade at $52.53 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.29% to 7.2729, while USD/PHP fell 0.34% to 50.180.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 100.46.
