Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Holding Firms and Property sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite gained 2.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc (PS:AEV), which rose 5.99% or 3.550 points to trade at 62.850 at the close. Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) added 4.88% or 0.880 points to end at 18.900 and Alliance Global Group Inc (PS:AGI) was up 4.29% or 0.560 points to 13.600 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Energy Development Corp (PS:EDC), which lost 0.93% or 0.050 points to trade at 5.300 in late trade. Emperador Inc (PS:EMP) unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to end at 7.200 and LT Group Inc (PS:LTG) 0.00% or 0.000 points to 21.550.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 117 to 78 and 49 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.09% or 1.20 to $1323.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.17% or 0.12 to hit $71.48 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.01% or 0.01 to trade at $77.48 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 1.16% to 8.2414, while USD/PHP rose 0.41% to 52.203.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 92.50.
