Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Holding Firms and Property sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite gained 1.80% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG), which rose 6.94% or 0.370 points to trade at 5.700 at the close. Ayala Corp (PS:AC) added 5.72% or 59.00 points to end at 1090.00 and BDO Unibank Inc (PS:BDO) was up 4.73% or 6.50 points to 144.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC), which lost 2.35% or 1.00 points to trade at 41.50 in late trade. LT Group Inc (PS:LTG) declined 2.11% or 0.380 points to end at 17.600 and International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT) shed 1.98% or 2.100 points to 103.800.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 116 to 79 and 47 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.00% or 0.04 to $1277.26 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.31% or 0.17 to hit $54.13 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.31% or 0.19 to trade at $60.30 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.28% to 7.7811, while USD/PHP fell 0.28% to 51.416.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 94.57.
