Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Property, Banking & Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were LT Group Inc (PS:LTG), which rose 2.25% or 0.450 points to trade at 20.450 at the close. Petron Corp (PS:PCOR) added 2.13% or 0.190 points to end at 9.090 and Security Bank Corp (PS:SECB) was up 2.05% or 4.00 points to 199.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC), which lost 1.67% or 0.350 points to trade at 20.600 in late trade. DMCI Holdings Inc (PS:DMC) declined 1.09% or 0.120 points to end at 10.840 and Ayala Corp (PS:AC) shed 1.02% or 10.00 points to 969.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 107 to 95 and 43 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.11% or 1.40 to $1300.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.15% or 0.10 to hit $65.62 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.72% or 0.54 to trade at $75.92 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.22% to 8.1964, while USD/PHP rose 0.11% to 52.426.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 93.67.
