Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Banking & Financials and Mining sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 1.02% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Unacem (LM:CEL), which rose 5.31% or 0.110 points to trade at 2.180 at the close. Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) added 3.03% or 0.005 points to end at 0.170 and Relapasa (LM:REL) was up 2.27% or 0.005 points to 0.225 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG), which lost 9.72% or 0.140 points to trade at 1.300 in late trade. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) declined 5.50% or 0.100 points to end at 1.720 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) shed 5.05% or 0.050 points to 0.940.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 22 to 6 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.68% or 0.36 to $52.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.66% or 0.37 to hit $55.64 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.80% or 9.75 to trade at $1215.75 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.49% to 3.2800, while EUR/PEN rose 0.12% to 3.4834.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 101.80.
