Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Mining and Electricity sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.44%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Casa Grande (LM:CSG), which rose 2.70% or 0.200 points to trade at 7.600 at the close. Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG) added 2.36% or 0.030 points to end at 1.300 and Relapasa (LM:REL) was up 2.27% or 0.006 points to 0.270 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb), which lost 1.59% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.620 in late trade. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) declined 0.87% or 0.120 points to end at 13.650 and Credicorp (LM:BAP) shed 0.62% or 0.940 points to 151.310.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 12 to 9 and 11 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.69% or 0.35 to $50.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.03% or 0.53 to hit $51.91 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.04% or 0.45 to trade at $1267.05 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.64% to 3.3595, while EUR/PEN fell 0.95% to 3.6765.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.34% at 98.62.
