Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Mining, S&P Lima Juniors and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Inretail Peru (LM:INR), which rose 2.47% or 0.410 points to trade at 17.010 at the close. Intergroup (LM:IFS) added 1.71% or 0.550 points to end at 32.700 and Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) was up 0.98% or 0.020 points to 2.070 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which lost 7.00% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.09 in late trade. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) declined 4.55% or 0.040 points to end at 0.840 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) shed 3.57% or 0.010 points to 0.270.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 7 and 15 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.05% or 1.02 to $48.64 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $51.06 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.52% or 6.61 to trade at $1268.71 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2705, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.6762.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 96.91.
