Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Enel Distribucion Peru SAA (LM:ENE), which rose 3.23% or 0.190 points to trade at 6.070 at the close. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) added 2.02% or 0.210 points to end at 10.610 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) was up 1.18% or 0.010 points to 0.860 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which lost 2.51% or 0.130 points to trade at 5.050 in late trade. Atacocha (LM:ATB) declined 2.19% or 0.009 points to end at 0.401 and Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) shed 1.85% or 0.60 points to 31.86.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 14 to 10 and 10 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.29% or 0.15 to $52.64 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.62% or 0.34 to hit $54.80 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.23% or 2.55 to trade at $1130.65 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.03% to 3.3925, while EUR/PEN rose 0.38% to 3.5541.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 103.07.
