Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Mining, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.68%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO), which rose 7.30% or 0.680 points to trade at 10.000 at the close. Panoro (LM:PML) added 3.77% or 0.010 points to end at 0.275 and Edegel (LM:EDE) was up 1.76% or 0.040 points to 2.310 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which lost 5.99% or 0.170 points to trade at 2.670 in late trade. Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) declined 3.57% or 1.46 points to end at 39.45 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) shed 3.28% or 0.040 points to 1.180.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 9 and 14 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 3.14% or 1.54 to $47.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.34% or 0.73 to hit $53.76 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 1.98 to trade at $1352.28 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.07% to 3.2315, while EUR/PEN rose 0.31% to 3.8901.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 91.31.
