Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Electricity, Services and Food & Beverages sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Ferreyros (LM:FER), which rose 1.95% or 0.050 points to trade at 2.610 at the close. Minsur (LM:MINi) added 1.00% or 0.020 points to end at 2.020 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) was up 0.92% or 0.010 points to 1.100 in late trade.
Biggest losers included PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX), which lost 7.58% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.06 in late trade. Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ) declined 4.52% or 0.570 points to end at 12.030 and Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE) shed 3.53% or 0.030 points to 0.820.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 8 and 15 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.41% or 0.22 to $54.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.13% or 0.08 to hit $60.59 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.41% or 5.21 to trade at $1277.01 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2495, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7841.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 94.38.
