Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Non-Metal Minerals and Banking & Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.40%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which rose 10.59% or 0.0090 points to trade at 0.0940 at the close. PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) unchanged 3.51% or 0.00 points to end at 0.06 and Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) was up 1.42% or 0.58 points to 41.55 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which lost 4.49% or 0.008 points to trade at 0.170 in late trade. Panoro (LM:PML) declined 2.50% or 0.008 points to end at 0.312 and Minsur (LM:MINi) shed 1.60% or 0.030 points to 1.840.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 9 and 10 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.76% or 1.37 to $50.95 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $56.52 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.39% or 4.96 to trade at $1289.96 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.05% to 3.2640, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8530.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.49% at 93.09.
