Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Mining, Services and Electricity sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 5.95% or 0.011 points to trade at 0.196 at the close. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) added 3.98% or 0.070 points to end at 1.830 and Intergroup (LM:IFS) was up 0.51% or 0.200 points to 39.500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which lost 9.09% or 0.0050 points to trade at 0.0500 in late trade. Relapasa (LM:REL) declined 4.43% or 0.007 points to end at 0.151 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) shed 3.57% or 0.020 points to 0.540.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 10 and 10 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.87% or 0.62 to $72.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.06% or 0.05 to hit $81.32 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.06% or 12.70 to trade at $1186.40 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.02% to 3.3035, while EUR/PEN fell 0.66% to 3.8563.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.78% at 94.61.
